Can We Say Aruba?
Hello Gorgeous!
I’ve been uploading all my travel adventures from the past couple of years, and one trip that absolutely deserves the spotlight is my December 2021 getaway to Aruba. Let me just say—it was everything. And yes, I’m already planning to go back!
We stayed at the Renaissance Wind Creek, an adults-only resort that I highly recommend. One of the coolest things about this hotel is the private boat that picks you up right in the middle of the lobby and whisks you away to Flamingo Beach—the hotel’s exclusive private island. It’s the only way to get there, and trust me, it’s worth the ride.
The hotel also features a casino and high-end shopping, including stores like Gucci and Crocs. Fun fact: it’s all part of the Wind Creek brand you might know from the U.S.
Now let’s talk food. Just across the street from the hotel is a spot that serves fried whole fish—and when I say it’s ABSOLUTELY delicious, I’m not exaggerating. It was that good.
Normally, we plan out our days with a full itinerary, but this time we just went with the flow—and it totally worked. One of the highlights was a 4×4 off-road adventure that took us to a natural spring. A heads up: to actually get to the spring, you’ll have to climb over some serious rocks, so come prepared. We weren’t—no water shoes, goggles, or face coverings—but it was still a blast.
For dining, I also recommend Gianni’s Italian Restaurant Aruba. Overall, I found the food in Aruba to be a bit more on the Americanized side. A local tip we received: skip the beef. Aruba imports it from wherever it’s available, so quality can be hit or miss. The chicken comes from the U.S., and of course, the seafood is fresh and fabulous.
Aruba was beautiful, relaxing, and filled with little surprises—and I can’t wait to go back!
